First, travel to Battle.net app settings and find “Game Install / Update.” Choose “Never automatically apply updates.”
Then, delve into your Applications folder, locate World of Warcraft.app, and press command-I on the runic slate before you.
Finally, to apply the disguise, drag the icon you wish to use to the icon in the top-left of the Info window for World of Warcraft.
