I never really had a character I felt compelled to see when I was in the parks until I moved to Tokyo, where King Louie makes a near-daily appearance. Now, I try to snap a photo with him whenever I see him.
Different from other parks around the world where you queue up to meet a character, Tokyo has a different method. Everyone stands around the character and does their best to get the attention of the character and get picked to interact with them.
I imagine a lot of what factors into this is how excited you are, if you are wearing anything related to that character, maybe how young you are, or if it’s your birthday. But every time I see King Louie, all I need to do is point to my own name on my jacket.
