Normally, sitting in this spot at Ryōgoku Kokugikan would cost a few hundred dollars. But today was a children’s sumo tournament, the Hakuho Cup. So it was free.
I think everyone expected that I’d go for an hour and bail, but I found it so fun and interesting that I stayed for the whole thing (minus a lunch break).
