Baby’s First Latte Art

Tonight, while at a party celebrating the 15th anniversary of a coffee company here in Tokyo, I was lightly pressured into entering a drunk latte art contest. Keep in mind:

1. I had three alcoholic drinks.
2. I’ve never poured a latte before.
3. Instructions were given only in Japanese, which I only understand a little bit.

The other contestants were:

• 9 baristas (who pour lattes every day)
• a 10-year-old boy (who obviously didn’t drink alcohol)

The 10-year-old defeated me. I need to practice.
