If you’re reading this, it’s probably in an RSS reader. I’ve been prioritizing the XML feed itself over making any kind of front-end “website.” By the way, it’s just a static site. I’m doing everything manually. Even the XML feed. It’s a little unconventional, though hardly difficult. I’m kinda enjoying it.
Today, I took some time to minimally-style the individual HTML pages, in the instance where someone sends a link, I suppose. If you jump out of your RSS reader, you can take a look.
There’s something charming about unstyled HTML, isn’t there? The light background, dark serif text, blue links, purple visited links, red active links. It’s classic; reminds me of the 90s. So when making this stylesheet, I wanted to keep some of that feeling while dressing it up only a little.

Undoubtedly, I won’t use all—or even most—of these styles on every blog post, but I wanted a little more range. And since everything is fairly simple HTML, it’s easily parsed through Safari’s Reader functionality, and the HTML can be identical inside the XML file.
This is all barely worth exhibiting in the form of a blog post, but it’s what I spent my day on, so I thought I’d share it with anyone who’s subscribed. And check out this little “end mark.”
